Filming day 2 - Bristol

Yesterday we filmed the romance scene in Bristol. Our aim was to get as many two shots as we could in order to show the relationship between the two characters. We had ideas of locations we wanted to film at but no exact idea of what we were going to film. However, we planned on getting our actors to act romantically in a variety of locations in the hopes that we could edit the footage into a montage later.

One of the issues we face was filming in Cabot. One of the key locations which would have made the characters relationship look idyllic was Cabot Circus. However, we were approached by a member of cabot security who preventer us from filming any further due to the issue that we could have been terrorists photographing weakneses in the Cabot structure. Fortunately, we were allowed to keep the pressure existing footage we captured in Cabot bridge but we're told not to film anymore whilst in the cabot borders.

Another issue we faced was with the weather. Because the weather was so bad, the sky was dark providing us with very bad lighting for certain shots. This meant that we were unable to film in certain locations because certain parts of the image were not visible on camera.
Another issue we faced was a lack of time. Because Charlie our actor needed to get back in time for work, we had to rush certain shots. This led to some shots not being as perfect as we wanted them to be and us not getting enough shots overrall. To correct this we will have to edit the footage so that each location is a short cut so that we can keep revising the same footage. The use of fast paced editing will also make the relationship montage more interesting so it has worked in our favourite.
