Performance setting

For the performance based half of the video we decided to film in the photography studio. However, because there is so much equipment we did not know how to use, we decided to do a location visit to ensure that when it comes to filming, we spent the entire time well. The first thing that we wanted to set up was the lights. After putting them in different areas of the studio we found that the layout which gave the shots the best and most appropriate lighting was when we placed a light on either side of the set facing up towards the protagonist. Whilst in the studio we also found some coloured gels. This also opened up the possibility of using coloured gels instead of just using the projector. This meant that we had more varied shots that we could use when editing the video together. The issue we recognized was with the blinds in the studio which do not keep natural light out. This may make filming difficult as the protected images might not be as strong. To prevent this from affecting our filming we have decided to film after school when it is darker outside.
